Hello and happy spring!
The Florence Farmers Market reopens Tuesday, May 10, 3-6 pm, recurring every Tuesday through October 11. A few of our vendors are still preparing for the season and will return in June, so there will be eggs, poultry and additional produce still to look forward to as we ease into late spring and early summer.
We will be at the same location, at the intersection of Bay St and Kingwood, next to the Veteran’s Memorial Park.
Our growing, vibrant market will introduce some exciting additions this year, including the Community Table and some community education opportunities, which we will share more about soon. We are also excited to welcome a couple of new farms.
In our continued efforts to provide access to all, the Farmers Market accepts SNAP with a Double Up match up to $20, and Farm Direct Nutrition Program checks.

May 10 live music, violinist Robbie Dee:
Robbie Dee was born in England and started playing violin at the age of ten. Later she studied at one of the Royal Colleges of music in London. After being a missionary briefly on three continents she settled in Tulsa Oklahoma, all the time playing her violin to others. Twenty four years later she moved here to Florence where she has now lived for just under three years. She says she loves the people here as well as the place and calls it “her home”.
Community Table
New to the market this year, the Community Table (CT) offers community members (vendors) a low-risk and cost-effective way to try selling at the Market. This is also an opportunity for vendors to sell quantities that would not financially justify a full booth. It’s a good place to learn marketing techniques and get a feel for selling at a farmers market before making a seasonal commitment. It is also a great way to increase the diversity and element of surprise each week at the Market.
