The spring sun is shining, and Florence Farmers Market has some very exciting news to share!
Meet Our New Market Director
If you visited us at the Port of Siuslaw Boardwalk last year, you likely saw Linea setting up signs, answering questions, or holding down a windy pop-up tent. As our 2025 Market Manager, Linea was instrumental in helping us welcome over 13,000 visitors to the market last year. Today, we are thrilled to announce that Linea has stepped into a new role as the organization’s very first Market Director.
Why a Director?
Our market is growing! To ensure we keep meeting our mission of providing stable access to fresh, local food while supporting our regional farmers and food makers, our Board of Directors recognized the need for dedicated leadership. As Market Director, Linea will focus on the long-term “big picture,” strengthening our organization and expanding our programming and Food Equity Efforts to make sure healthy food reaches every table in our community.
“I am happy to be back for another great season ahead,” Linea says. “We are laying the foundation for the next steps, securing Florence Farmers Market as a thriving marketplace and community gathering space for years to come. I may be stuck behind a computer a bit more this season, but you betcha I will be at the Boardwalk as often as possible.”
